Germany, etc. -- Fall 2007

We're off on our next European sojourn. The primary purpose is to visit our son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Shane, who have moved to Nuremberg for nine months. But we've planned several side trips. Here's our itinerary:

Thursday, 9/13 -- Overnight to Amsterdam
Friday, 9/14-Sunday 9/16 -- Tour Haarlem & Amsterdam w/S&J (Happy Birthday, Kristin!)
Monday, 9/17 -- Explore Nuremberg
Tuesday, 9/18 -- Rhine Hop On/Hop Off Cruise - Bingen to Bacharach to St. Goar
Wednesday, 9/19 -- Rhine (cont.) - St. Goar & Brauback (Rheinsfels & Marberg Castles)
Thursday, 9/20 -- Rhine (cont) - Moselkern (Berg Eltz) to Nuremberg
Friday, 9/21-Sunday, 9/23 -- Prague w/S&J
Monday, 9/24-Wednesday 9/26 -- Spiez, Switzerland to visit Peter & Marina (Happy Birthday, Peter & Bob)
Thursday, 9/27 -- Sembach, Germany to visit Lisa, Michael & Danien
Friday, 9/28 -- Nuremberg
Saturday, 9/29 -- Aachen, Germany (Charlemagne's stomping grounds)
Sunday, 9/30-Tuesday 10/2 -- Brussels, Bruges & Ghent (If this is Tuesday, it must be Brussels . . .!)
Wednesday, 10/3 -- Return to Atlanta

Whew! Yes, it's a lot to cram into three weeks, but there is so much to see!

Not taking a laptop this trip, and the Blackberry just doesn't work for blog entries. I've got a Bluetooth keyboard for the Blackberry, but am not certain how well it works. When out of reach of a computer, I may have to resort to old fashioned pen and paper. YIKES! We'll keep you posted as time allows.
